I’ve been so busy keeping up with holiday orders, there’s just barely enough time to slip in one more OOAK for 2016. Created with reclaimed glass, pigments and silver toned foil, this piece arrives with installation hooks and ready-to-hang. Measures 15″ x 15″ x 1.5″ deep.
This free-standing glass sculptures is named after Yosemite’s Half Dome, a place near and dear to my heart. Created from reclaimed glass, green/blue/charcoal pigments and variegated copper foil, it stands on its own. 17.5″ tall, 16″ wide and 5″ deep.
The two pieces above, “New York Minute” (above) and “Mito” (below) were selected as Niche Awards Finalists in the Fused Glass and Recycled Divisions. Sponsored by NICHE magazine, the NICHE Awards program began in 1989 to celebrate excellence and innovation in American and Canadian fine craft. The winners will be announced in February at the Buyers Market of American Craft exhibit in Philadelphia.
