Dreamscape 125 – “Vintner’s Toast”

Created in the Lodi Appellation, “Vintner’s Toast” is a celebration of my homeland. This art sculpture has all that I love about the wine from here: rich color, smooth blends, and a spicey note. Each sculpture includes a raw steel stand that is individually welded to artfully display the sculpture. The steel stand will develop surface rust over time creating an artful juxtaposition between the stand and the glossy surface of the glass. Vintner’s Toast measures 18″ wide by 8.5″ tall. Harbor Vessel

Inspired by the textural nature of the churning sea, Harbor Vessel is created with the deepest teal blue possible. Experiencing the depth in this piece is like looking down into the ocean from the side of boat. There are shadows and glints of light deep down beneath the surface. Harbor View Vessel is 14″ in diameter and 4″ tall. It is created with reclaimed glass, pigments and variegated metal foil.

Detail of Valley Sunset Bowl by Mira Woodworth

Valley Sunset Bowl

This is a one-of-a-kind bowl measuring 16″ diameter. It’s created with reclaimed glass, pigments and variegated metal foil. I live in the central valley, a rural area of California where the sunsets are spectacular even though I have no view of the ocean. Once in a while, we get a low sunset that picks up an atmospheric brilliance that makes photographs seem like liars.

Dreamscape 95

As I close in on the creation of 100 Dreamscape sculptures, Dreamscape 95 marks a departure from previous textures. And. I. Am. In. Love. Like the others, Dreamscape 95 is created from reclaimed glass, pigments and variegated metal foil. It arrives ready to display in a raw steel stand.
