This piece was commissioned for a modern bathroom in North Virginia. The client wished to incorporate the colors in the granite countertop: chocolate, grey, and cream. Overall, the piece measures 10″ x 10″ and is the perfect addition of reclaimed glass and complementing neutral colors.

Commission for Scottsdale

This diptych was commissioned for a private residence in Scottsdale, Arizona. After downsizing from New York, the client had previously collected a 16-piece installation for their new home. For this commission, they were ready to create a spa-like atmosphere in their primary bedroom suite.

The process was a delight. First, I requested photographs of some of the other art and furniture already collected for the space. Once I had a sense of the scale and color palette, I created several renderings of concepts for their consideration.

We landed on a diptych, which would be easier to ship and install than one large piece. The diptych was designed to be the exact width of the bed once installed. Each panel measured 24″ x 38.” We picked up colors from the other art and responded to the fantastic landscape featured in the corner window. We also selected framing that would echo the other artwork in the room.

Left Panel

Because of the installation location over the bed, the work was over engineered. Each panel is installed with french cleats rated for 300+ pounds. Further the glass is laminated and set with 20+ hidden anchors on each panel. The frame is a floating canvas frame and does not bear any of the weight.

Right Panel

I couldn’t be happier with the result. The silver metallics poke through the composition adding eye-catching sparkle. The texture adds interest and dimension to the space.

Dreamscape 133, Teal and Chocolate

Swirls of teal and chocolate conspire to delight the all who gaze upon of Dreamscape 133. Created with reclaimed glass, pigments and variegated metals. This tabletop sculpture is presented on a reclaimed red cedar stand.

Dreamscape 119

Prairie Sunset

An experiment in techniques, this wall installation is mixed media and glass, mounted to a wood substrate and hangs via a french cleat system. Creating the piece involved many many layers of mixed media, metallics and glass. It is large and striking with glints of metallic that sparkle and change as the viewer moves about the room.

Prairie Sunset Measures 49″ wide and 37″ tall and is sold.

Dreamscape 110 – Glenn Alpine Falls

The colors in this dreamscape are inspired by Glenn Alpine Falls, a waterfall near Lake Tahoe. The piece is created from reclaimed glass and finished in russet and cobalt blue.
