I often name limited production pieces after the places I have recently visited. This is the case with Coronado Bowl.
In February – just before the pandemic seized travel in California, I went to San Diego with my sisters and daughter. The trip was fast, beautiful and fantastic.
It’s kind of funny because it’s never the biggest moments that stand out in memory right? On one of our days, we walked and walked. I was tired and feeling a little under the weather and was lagging behind. We stopped for a rest at Seaport Village and did a little people watching.
As I looked out over the bay at the Naval Station that was once the center of our family at least one lifetime ago, it was striking how life had truly come full circle. There I was, with the my familial tribe, across time and the bay. An almost indescribable feeling of being at home in a place I’ve never been before.
